A quiet but grey morning in the arboretum. Not very popular with the ducks as I'd not taken any Warburtons with me reason being, I'd only 2 slices of the stuff at home.
The colours as you can see are pretty amazing. One thing I've noticed, following a software upgrade on Android, the pics from the camera on my Galaxy S2 are showing more noise than before, which is annoying because I have no control over that. Classic example of fucking about to make something better and actually making it worse.
I appear to have an infection of some sort in my left ear. I am on the mend, but I thought things were amiss on Thursday. Just normal breathing sounded like a hurricane rushing through my head, then I got a sore throat, my balance has been affected.
Going to try make an appointment at Sick House today just to get things looked at.
Almost finished the painting, though climbing the ladder to get to the higher bits is a bit iffy at present I discovered yeaterday trying to gloss frames that are too high to reach otherwise.
Despite OBC's nagging and doubts, it will be finished by the time he (and the others) come round on the 14th.
Had a few exchanges on Twitter with Dean in New York (one of my cool Manhattan set and Channie's bit of ruff). They were getting ready to lock themselves in shelter against the Hurricane set to hit the east coast.
Dean had tweeted they'd got their storm supplies of olives and Challah bread. Shortly after Stephen Wallem who plays Thor in Nurse Jackie tweeted he was holed up in his Manhattan apartment and had a supply of wheat thins. Most sensibly, Todd in Hells Kitchen had been out on Saturday to Trader Joe's and stocked up with so many goodies it would be hard not to start snacking on them on the way home on the bus.
Personally, I think Todd has the best idea out of all of them.
Enjoy your wheat thins Thor, indeed they are ambrosia...

Love those pink and purple trees! Am also holed up and provisioned. Can't do much about the wind and water, but we can drink beer.
