Yes, I'm a dad again. Cadbury garden centre in Congresbury (a very nice place indeed) had a few rather poorly looking Venus flytraps reduced from a fiver to a pound. I chose the best one and brought it home.
The new one is the one on the right. I think it had either been watered with tap water which is too alkaline or it is merely light starved, but it has new growth and I reckon sitting in his own tub of rainwater on my windowsill outside with the few days of sunshine the weatherman has promised, should buck him up a treat.
The one on the left is doing really well this year, feeding well (snaps at your ankles as you walk by) and has pink colour in the traps which is a good sign as it indicates the plant is getting enough light.
Indeed, I love me babies...
