I got some new socks yesterday in Tesco. Union Jack ones which I though were the nicest ones I have seen, so I bought em. Was even more happy with em when I got home as they were charged out at 50p and not the 2 quid on the ticket. I went back at lunchtime and snapped up the last pair.
Got Darlo to take a pic of me wearing them and my Union Jack shorts which I've had for years. Charlie Chalk asked what it was with my Britaphilia I think he called it.
Personally, I see nothing wrong. I think it is a very distinctive "brand", after all look at Austin Power's Shaguar and I rest my case, yeah baby yeah !
Being poor, I can't afford my own Shaguar or Union Jack Mini, but I guess I have bought in this year.
I do love this toaster.
A Poundland oven glove
Cappuccino anybody ?
And my backpack for when I have to carry potatoes of bottled stuff from Tesco.
Actually this backpack provides a very physical reminder whenever I use it, as it is quite uncomfortable if you've got it loaded up, yet two years ago, I was lugging more than twice, maybe three times the loaded weight of this on my unhealthy fat carcass.
Continuing the theme, I would like a Union Jack bedspread, but I can't afford one of those.
