Had one of the nicest walks to the arboretum yesterday since possibly the spring.
It was really cold, my fingers were numb. I remembered the bread this time and when I got to Hatherton lake, it was the geese who muscled in for the bread handout. I did have "gang of three", the smart ducks who circle round behind and attract my attention.
No abusive language this time (possible geese are more refined than ducks), but there was a bit of squabbling. I did a video which came out a bit wobbly, as it is quite difficult holding the cam and a bag of bread in one hand and reaching into the bag to break bits off to feed the masses.
See if I can do a bit of editing.
It was quite misty and then about 8 o clock, the sun came out and shone through the mist and trees (click the photos to embiggen)
Love the man with his dog bounding around.
The day went to pot in the afternoon with my trying to upload these pictures to the PC. WIndows 7 and drivers is a major bug bear for the op system and this phone has been no exception. Couldn't find the support on the Samsung website, though it was there if you looked hard enough. I had to phone them. Very helpful, downloaded the drivers and their recommended sync suite "Kies" which runs like molasses and is about as much use as a chocolate fireguard. It gets a lot of bad press online too, yet it's been developed for phone, tabs and the likes.
All I want to do is upload my pics to the PC for editing. Plugged in my bluetooth adapter and guess what - driver problems with no solution, so I had to order up a new dongle from Amazon for a fiver, but it is guaranteed to work with winders 7 !
Whilst I hate Vista, I like the interface of WIndows 7, but it is a real pain with plug in devices. Then in the midst of one of my growling fits, Helen rang and she'd screwed up installing a printer and didn't know what to do.
I was glad to go off to bed last night, I'd had wuite enough for one day.
Bob the Butcher was in a bad mood this morning. Man flu ! say no more.
Took his picture to assign as a contact icon on the new phone. Haven't found a suitable ringtone for him yet (any ideas) ? Helen's is a horse neighing, cos she's a horse nut.
Just pottering today, housework, a bit of PC tidying, no laptops to mend.
Seeing Jenny my weight loss lady on Tuesday, so have been putting in eftra effort with the walks and shaving calories. I'd like to have hit 127 kilos for my visit, but even with all my efforts I don't think it's going to happen. As long as there's a loss over last month, I will be happy.
