When I am not being down the line strict with myself, I don't weigh myself, because if I saw a weight gain, I would be so deflated I might slip altogether.
In my mind, because I've not been out walking as much as in the previous couple of months and I'd had a couple of days when I didn't count calories at all, last Thursday for example when I met April from CAMRA in town and we had beer and a curry at the new Wetherspoons. I reckoned I would be at least a kilo heavier than when I saw Jenny four weeks ago.
I was amazed I had lost 2.5 lbs and have now passed the three and a half stone mark ( a stone being 14lbs).
Despite not feeling up to the mark for the last few weeks, now I have Kils n Kins out of the way, I went out and did three miles yesterday and have done about three point three today. My appointment with Jenny was for 9:30 but I was ready at 8:15, so I walked down to the arboretum, round the lake and then up to Asda before getting to the NHS centre which is in the marketplace.
It's a lovely sunny day here set to reach 25 degrees (we didn't get many of those in the summer) and set to last til Saturday, get those short n sandals out everyone.
Helen came by yesterday, one of my old work colleagues. Showed me this picture of her and Lottie her horse.
Wireless Tone came by the other day bringing me five gallons of rainwater for the carnies, they were so excited. Check out the workman's braces !
I bought him some "butch" JCB workman's socks a while back which I am told he keeps "for best".
He's taking this ruff tuff hardhat image very seriously in his old age, trying to offset the wart hog image given him by his wife.
The jubilation over the working USB port on the laptop was shortlived. Next day it was dead again.
The police had an open day at the station over the road on Sunday. Most interesting thing for me, was catching the arrival of the RAF Griffin helicopter which landed on the roof of their car park.
There were some old police vehicles there and I got some pics of those as I passed on my way to Tesco, but I'm afraid face painting doesn't do it for me, so I passed on actually visitng the event. Saw some Twitter pics of the police dogs doing their stuff, I heard the excited barks from over here.
They also had Bobby the police bear, I didn't see him but I captured a picture somewhere and will add later. Still think someone should tell him his trousers have been nicked.
